When jump-starting a car, it is recommended to leave the jumper cables connected for about three to five minutes. After that, the jump-started vehicle should be left running for at least 30 minutes to allow the battery to fully charge. It is important to follow the correct order when connecting and disconnecting the jumper cables to avoid damaging the car’s electrical components.
If the battery is completely dead, it may not matter how long you try jumping it for, as it may no longer hold a charge. That’s why it’s better to don’t waste time and buy a new one.
